![📣 Great News! CSFDG is now a registered commitment for the 2025 UN Ocean Conference in Nice on the basis of efforts to Reduce Ocean Microplastics Accumulation through Sustainable Fashion Education.
It may take a while but we are excited to start to research the effects that microplastics are having on oceans surrounding the Caribbean islands and what percentage of those plastics originated from polyester fabrics! We will be submitting annual reports to the UN SDGs platform to track our progress!
Current reports suggest that over 35% of the microplastic accumulation in our oceans are a result of washing polyester fabrics.
This is great news considering our Ocean focused Sustainable Design Impact Hub scheduled for August 2025.
We have also named @peaceboatus as a partner in helping us achieve these goals :)
